Calling All 6-12 Year Olds! CrossFit TT will be offering CFKids classes starting Tuesday January 8th.  We will start this program by running classes 1x per week on Tuesdays at 3:45-4:30 for 8 weeks.  As interest grows, we will consider adding an additional day or second session per week.

CFTT will also be starting a Teen Class (12-16) 3x per week later this winter.  Details to come soon.  This program will run for 4 week sessions (monthly rates).

What is CrossFit Kids?

CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is an entirely specific CrossFit program
geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of that population (neurological, cognitive, motor). CrossFit Kids workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general.  It is infinitely scaleable for any participant at any level and is FUN!

What Does this mean ?
This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids and teens never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.
The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play-pull, push,run, throw, climb, lift and jump.
When fitness is defined as broad, inclusive and general it means that participants will become well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every sport that they play because CrossFit Kids doesn’t coach them to be good at just one thing.
Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

Who Coaches CrossFit Kids? 

CFTT is excited to be an offiically licensed CrossFit Kids affiliate.  This means coaches who will be working with your child/children have been certified specifically in the methods of CrossFit Kids and are approved and background checked by CrossFit Kids HQ.

What are the Age Groups? 

Ages: For now, we will just be doing Crossfit Kids (5-12) and Crossfit Teen (12-16ish) classes. The ages aren’t set in stone, we could have a 4 year old in the kids class if he is mature enough to listen to instructions and we could have a 10 year old in a teen class if she is ready for it.

How much does it Cost?

CrossFit Kids: 1x per week, 8 weeks = $85 (parent is member, unlimited or 3x per week) $99 (non-member).

CrossFit Kids Teen: 3x per week, 4 weeks= $124.99 (parent is member, unlimited or 3x per week) $ 139.99 (non-member)
