In case you’ve been too pre-occupied with your training these last few days, the WORLD SERIES starts this evening. In case you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the Boston Red Sox – aka the Best Team in the History of Sport –  is playing in said Series. We’ll forgive you if you forget the other raggedy bunch they’re playing against. There’s one CrossFit TT community member, however, who won’t: Jonathan Kinsley.

Dr. Lawyerman. Normally Friend; for the next 10 days, Mortal Enemy.
Dr. Lawyerman. Normally Friend; for the next 10 days, Mortal Enemy.

You see, Jonathan had the misfortune of growing up the proximity of St. Louis. While growing up in that part of ‘Merica may not be a crime,  growing up a St. Louis Cardinals fan (RE: the other raggedy bunch playing in the World Series) before moving to the Red Sox Nation is. This is a fact that Jonathan knows all too well, both because he’s an Attorney, and because we (more accurately, Tyler) remind him of his misplaced allegiance and criminal transgressions each and every time an opportunity to do so presents itself…and they present themselves quite a bit.

Don’t get us wrong. We love Jonathan. He’s a huge part of our community, and he’s made remarkable progress since joining us. We’re also awestruck by his decision to earn his Doctorate in both Law and Medicine. That said, there are some lines that we just can’t cross. Excusing Dr. Lawyerman for rooting against the Sox is one such line. That’s why, for the next 10 days, Dr. Lawyerman is Public Enemy #1 at CrossFit TT. What’s this mean? Not much, other than the fact that you’ll all get to have a good chuckle at his expense after the Sox wipe the floor with his precious Cardinals. That’s why we’ve (again, Tyler), have decided to raise the stakes a bit.

Here’s the deal, Dr. Lawyerman: The Boston Red Sox win the World Series, and you have to do a WOD of my choosing. Your precious Cardinals win, and I’ll do any THREE WODS you pick. Unscaled. In succession. Heck, I’ll even Volunteer SeedMan to do them with me. You in? Comment on this post or on Facebook if so…and let the Bo-Sox Win.
